Description

Keong - "Conch"

Conch shells hold secrets of strength and shelter—nature's armour wrapped in delicate spirals. Each hand-carved shell in this piece honours that duality. Made for those who know true power lies in grace.

A delicate chain adorned with intricate hand-carved shells, connected by our signature organic ring clasp that becomes part of the design itself.

Crafted from the highest quality recycled sterling silver. The gold pieces are Gold Vermeil, featuring a sterling silver core coated with a thick layer of 18kt gold—2.5 times thicker than standard gold plating.

Who ?
  1. Who runs the business?

Above & Below was born between salt-stained research notes and silver-dusted workbenches. Founded by a biologist-turned-silversmith who built everything from scratch. A small tight nit team of other dreamers has carefully been assembled to help turn the vision into reality.

  2. Who designs the product?

All of the designs are created by the founder, taking inspiration from the ocean that surrounds, shapes, and sustains us.

  3. Who makes the product?

While living in Bali for 2 years the founder discovered that the island was world renowned for it's silver smiths. Meeting many of the amazing smiths across the island, one studio that stood out for the quality of it's work and passion of everyone working there, and he quickly partnered with them.

How ?
  1. HOW IS IT MADE?

Each collection begins with rough sketches, which then transform into rough carvings by the water. These are then refined and tested until the final design is reached. These hand carve designs are then lost wax cast before skilled silver smiths assemble the final piece, ready for final polishing.

  2. HOW MANY ARE MADE?

All of our pieces are hand made in small batches, ensuring the quality of the work and unnecessary production is carried out.

Where ?
  1. WHERE IS IT MADE?

All of our pieces are carefully crafted by hand in Bali, which is home to some of the worlds most skilled silver smiths.
